Pricing & Commission FAQ
How is mural pricing determined?
Mural investment is based on square footage, installation height, surface conditions, and overall project complexity. All work is custom, site-specific, and hand painted using professional, archival materials.
What are your starting rates?
Exterior murals begin at $40 per square foot for first-floor installations. Rates increase for elevated or multi-story work due to additional equipment, labor, and safety requirements. Interior murals begin at $50 per square foot.
Is there a minimum project size?
Yes. All mural commissions have a $3,000 minimum.
Do you offer canvas or studio-created work?
Yes. Large-scale canvas murals are created in studio and professionally installed in your space. These works typically range from $100–$200 per square foot, depending on scale and customization.
Why are your rates structured this way?
Each commission reflects nearly two decades of professional experience, advanced technical execution, premium materials, and the physical demands of large-scale installation. This is enduring, original artwork—designed to last, not decorative paintwork.
Do you paint year-round?
Interior murals and studio work are accepted year-round. Exterior murals in Southern and Central Arizona are scheduled outside of June through August due to extreme heat conditions.
Do you accept out-of-state projects?
Yes. Out-of-state and destination commissions are welcomed and scheduled on a limited basis.
What costs are not included in mural pricing?
Equipment rentals (lifts, scaffolding), surface preparation or sealing by a commercial painter, travel, lodging, and specialty coatings are quoted separately when applicable.
How do I begin a commission?
Submit an inquiry with project details, location, approximate dimensions, and timeline. If the project is a strong fit, you will be invited into the next phase of discussion.
